7 Easy Office Spring Cleaning Tips For CNY 2023

7 Easy Office Spring Cleaning Tips For CNY 2023 – Chinese New Year spring cleaning applies not only to the house but also to the office. You want to clean the office from top to bottom to ensure it is free of negative energy.

Besides traditional chores, such as window cleaning and dusting, there are also small tasks that you are good to perform. Here are 7 easy spring cleaning tips you can implement while preparing your workspace for Lunar New Year.

1. Clean your keyboard

The computer monitor always overshadows the keyboard during regular office cleaning. The keyboard seems too small a thing for you to pay attention to. That’s why you choose to make the only one wiping motion and focus on larger parts of the computer.

To ensure a deep CNY cleaning of your office space, you should treat your keyboard like a king. Aside from dusting the surface of the keycaps, you are good to dig deeper. Turn the keyboard upside down and shake it.

In this way, the dirt and food that are stuck underneath the keycaps will come out. Also, since the keyboard harbors tons of bacteria, you have to disinfect it thoroughly.

2. Clean plant leaves

Plants are good decorations for your office space. However, they hardly improve the office vibe and visual appeal when dirty. You have to wipe the plant leaves down to remove all the dust that spoils their appearance.

While the task may be tedious and time-consuming given the large number of leaves, you have to do it. You will not only enhance the appeal of the office but will also allow the plants to absorb sunlight.

3. Dust the light fixtures

Many people avoid cleaning light fixtures during regular cleaning. For one, they are up there on the high ceiling and nobody sees them. Aside from that, it is pretty hard to reach them. You have to take a chair to be able to clean them properly.

During the Chinese New Year cleaning, you don’t have to think about these small issues. Just take a wet cloth, climb on a chair and wipe the dust off. This is a small step to providing full purification to your office space.

4. Vacuum the folders and books

Any office abounds with files, folders, and books. Maybe this is the reason people avoid cleaning them when they accumulate dust. CNY office spring cleaning is the perfect occasion to leave any excuse aside and take action.

All you need is to connect the narrow attachment to the vacuum and give books and folders a deep cleaning.

5. Sort your desk drawer

Your desk drawer is full of useful and useless stuff. While some items you store in it are of the greatest importance, others belong to the trash bin. Take your time to carefully sort your drawer. Grab each item and decide whether it’s valuable or not.

You are good to remove all things from the drawer prior to starting sorting them. You have to do it because you need the drawer empty to be able to clean it.

6. Disinfect the office desk and telephone

The desk and telephone are full of bacteria that get more and more every day. Wiping the dust off with a wet cloth is not enough. Water and rubbing don’t kill bacteria. That’s a motivation for you to use a more powerful weapon.

Disinfection is the only way you can win the battle against harmful bacteria and pathogens.

7. Perform digital cleaning

Deep office purification means cleaning not only the folders lying on the shelves but also the digital ones. You have to make orders in your computer files and get rid of all the useless stuff. It is the same as throwing empty cream bottles and old clothes into the trash bin.

In this way, you make space for good luck to come in and bless your office.

7 Easy Office Spring Cleaning Tips For CNY 2021 –
Bottom line

Chinese New Year purification is not only about major cleaning chores, like floor mopping, window cleaning, and furniture dusting. You also have to pay attention to small tasks. If you spring clean to prepare your office for CNY, you are good to clean your keyboard, plant leaves, and light fixtures.

You also don’t have to forget about vacuuming the books and disinfecting the desk and telephone. Decluttering and sorting are vital as well. You should do it both with your desk drawer and digital files. Happy 2023!
